Layered Strawberry Pretzel Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

– 2 cups crushed pretzels – 3/4 cup melted butter – 3 tablespoons sugar – 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese – 1 cup sugar – 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping – 2 (3 oz) packages strawberry gelatin – 2 cups boiling water – 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

Instructions:

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar thoroughly.

Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool completely before adding the next layer.

In another bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped topping to form a fluffy cream layer.

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust. Ensure you reach all edges to prevent the next layer from leaking through.

In a separate bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved, then allow it to cool slightly—don’t let it set.

Arrange sliced strawberries evenly over the cream layer. Pour the cooled gelatin over the strawberries gently and evenly across the dish.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until firm. Once chilled, cut into squares and serve. This dessert is perfect for summer gatherings and parties!
